Personal History		Born on Mars, 5 August 2372, the eldest child of a doctor and a nurse, it was clear that Billie would become a medical professional too. Growing up she'd spend time helping out at her parents' practice. Eventually she'd go to medical school and become a doctor. It was while visiting family on Earth, that she met Starfleet Captain Rachel Mercer. The two got along well and Rachel asked Billie if she'd like to join her and new XO, Lt. Commander Zaron Martell on a hiking trip to the Canadian Rockies. During this trip Martell lost his footing and fell receiving life threating injuries. Their remoteness meant that help was far off. Billie managed to treat Martell's injuries and with the Captain's help was able to bring him back to society. Mercer then offered Billie the position of Medical officer on her ship the USS Portsmouth, provided she complete the Starfleet Officer Cadet School training.
